In celebration of our 25th anniversary, Natyanjali Kuchipudi Dance School presents Kalyana Srinivasam, an opulent Kuchipudi dance drama (Indian Classical Dance theater production).
Hand-pounded fresh turmeric. Fragrant strands of freshly bloomed flowers. The atmosphere is brimming with celebration, in anticipation of the wedding of the Divine couple, Princess Padmavati and Lord Srinivasa. Originally choreographed in the 1980s by the late Padma Shree Dr. Sobha Naidu, and thoughtfully reimagined and directed by Smt. Srilatha Suri, the artistic director of Natyanjali , Kalyana Srinivsam is a masterpiece of dance, theater, and music, woven seamlessly like an impeccable tapestry.
Adhering to authentic Kuchipudi style, using exquisite costumes and incorporating hand-painted props, we bring the history of the Lord of the Seven Hills to life.
This highly anticipated production, with a carefully selected cast of talented students and alumni of Natyanjali (including Smt. Pranamya Suri, Kum. Samhita Bandaru) is sure to be an unforgettable experience of celebration, festivity and devotion.
